Dr. Susan O’Flanagan

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Susan O’ Flanagan is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over nine years of experience in providing assessment and intervention to people of all ages. Her aim as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space where people can explore their difficulties, and what may be maintaining them, at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

In addition to working in private practice Dr Susan works full time in an acute hospital setting with adults experiencing chronic illness. Specifically, Dr Susan has a wealth of experience in working with people affected by cancer and more recently in those affected by COVID-19.

She is currently completing her professional training in Mindfulness-based therapies and in trauma focused therapy approaches. Dr Susan works in an integrative, individualised and collaborative way with clients to best support them to build their resilience and develop emotional well-being.


Dr Susan is a member of the Irish Psycho-Social Oncology Network (IPSON) research steering group and was vice chair of the Irish Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) Education and Research Forum in 2018-2019. She is also a member of the Mindfulness Teachers Association of Ireland.
