At The Consulting Clinic, we provide specialist multidisciplinary assessment for Autism.
Our clinical psychologists have many years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum (including working in specialist autism teams within the HSE) and have specialist training in conducting ASD assessments.
The Consulting Clinic assessments at all times follow best practice guidelines and our reports will be accepted by the HSE and Department of Education and Science.
At present, we only offer ASD assessments for children between the ages of 6-18 years of age.
The assessment will include:
- A full developmental history
- Parent interview
- Cognitive assessment
- Report and feedback
A Speech & Language Therapist will also be involved in the assessment.
If you are unsure that you want to go ahead with a comprehensive assessment to investigate autism at this time but would like to talk about your concerns with an expert and figure out what to do next, you are welcome to book a parent consultation session with us.
One of our doctoral-level clinical psychologists will conduct the psychological assessment, write the report, and give feedback and recommendations. They have specialist training in conducting and interpreting assessments, differential diagnosis, and neuropsychological ethology.
