Individual Therapy
Our team of psychologists work with individuals to help them overcome a range of mental health and emotional issues.
In the typical process, you will meet your therapist once a week.
The course of treatment will depend on:
- The nature, severity and duration of the problem.
- Individual resilience and coping style.
- Your support network.
The initial consultation will be an opportunity to meet with your Psychologist to discuss your difficulties. A comprehensive psychological assessment will be carried out to assess your difficulties and to provide recommendations and a treatment plan based on your needs. The initial consultation is also an opportunity to meet and see if you both would like to work together.
Following the initial clinical assessment, your Psychologist will provide you with a case formulation report, which offers a hypothesis of the cause and nature of the presenting problem. The formulation will guide the treatment plan.
Assessment of your presenting problem and progress during treatment is monitored by the use of routine outcome measures.
The clinic adheres to evidence based therapy models
