An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Chartered Psychologist to work at The Consulting Clinic. There is a full time and part time role and flexibility for either working at the clinic or remote.

The Consulting Clinic is based on Lesson Street in Dublin 2. It is a busy, successful private practice that is expanding.

The Clinic is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work full time or part time (minimum 10 hours). You must be an up-to-date registered Psychologist with The Irish Psychological Society/Health Care Professions Council/British Psychological Society and practising within their guidelines and codes; in receipt of regular supervision and hold professional indemnity insurance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • You are a qualified clinical psychologist registered with the IPS

  • You have at least 3 years post qualifications of clinical work offering psychological therapy to individuals

  • You have experience of working in private practice

  • You are competent in at least two psychological models one being CBT or third wave psychotherapy model

  • You have experience of working with a wide range of clinical presenting difficulties of varying severity

  • You can formulate plans for psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s presenting difficulties. Your formulations are grounded in theoretical and therapeutic models. You have the ability to reformulate and modify treatment options through continual engagement and assessment with the client

  • You have experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients’ psychological care and treatment

  • You are able to set out and hold boundaries with clients including adhering to regular weekly sessions and a cancellation policy

  • You have experience working with adults and children
